Tom's Guide's editors evaluate hundreds of products each year, honoring the tools that solve real problems for homeowners with practicality, power, and everyday usability. The Y Series stood out for its modular approach, combining mowing, leaf clearing, and snow removal in one robotic platform.

The recognition also called out the engineering upgrades behind this year's Y Series. A gearbox-free design lowers operating noise from ≤75 dB to ≤60 dB, making early-morning or late-night yard work far less disruptive to neighbors. Under the hood, a new dual-hub-motor drive system improves mobility, torque, speed, and acoustic performance, while a higher top travel speed allows the Y Series to cover larger properties more efficiently.
