Yarbo uses its PPVS navigation system — integrating RTK-GPS, computer vision, odometry, and IMU sensors — to mow your lawn autonomously with no boundary wires needed. You map your mowing zones once in the app, and Yarbo follows them on schedule, detecting obstacles in real time. Unlike most robot lawn mower brands that focus on building a better single-purpose mower, Yarbo is built as a modular platform: the same Core unit powers a Snow Blower, Leaf Blower, and Trimmer module — one machine that handles your yard year-round.

Most traditional robot lawn mowers rely on buried perimeter wires to define the mowing area — a time-consuming installation that's difficult to modify. Yarbo’s auto lawn mower solution uses RTK-GPS navigation and advanced sensors to map your lawn, avoid obstacles, and navigate without perimeter wires, so there's nothing to bury.

Yarbo operates on a schedule you set and works in multiple sessions throughout the week, automatically returning to its base to recharge between runs. With up to 1.7 acres of mowing per day, most residential lawns stay consistently trimmed with minimal manual involvement.

Most robotic mowers are designed for relatively flat terrain and struggle on steeper inclines. Yarbo's tracked drive system handles slopes up to 70% (35°) with real-time traction control, making it a practical option for hilly properties that other robot mowers can't reliably cover.

A riding lawn mower requires you to operate it manually for the full duration — typically one to three hours per session, depending on lawn size. A robot lawn mower runs autonomously on a set schedule, handles its own recharging, and maintains your lawn continuously in smaller passes. You set it up once and it handles the rest throughout the season.

For lawns that need regular mowing throughout the growing season, an automated lawn mower eliminates recurring time and labor — often several hours per week. Yarbo's modular design also lets you add a snow blower or leaf blower module to the same base unit, extending the value well beyond mowing season.

Yes. The Yarbo Y40P covers up to 7 acres total and mows up to 2 acres per day; the Y40 covers up to 6 acres at up to 1.7 acres per day. Both handle 70% (35°) slopes on tracked drive, making them suited for large, uneven properties where wheeled robot mowers typically fail.

In practical terms, yes. Yarbo uses a multi-sensor fusion system called PPVS — combining RTK-GPS, dual vision cameras, and onboard sensors — to navigate autonomously, detect obstacles, and adapt its mowing path in real time. It plans its route, returns to dock when the battery runs low, and resumes without any manual input. Whether you call it an AI lawn mower or a robot lawn mower, the result is the same: your lawn gets mowed on a schedule, without you being involved.

Our robotic lawn mowers handle all-season grasses, including dense and difficult-to-cut warm-season varieties. The dual 300W motors and straight blade option deliver clean, consistent cuts through Zoysia, Buffalo Grass, St. Augustine, Bermuda, and other thick turf — even in wet or overgrown conditions.

Yes. In addition to intelligent obstacle detection, Yarbo's No-Go Zone feature lets you define areas you never want the robot lawn mower to enter. Zones can be drawn manually by driving Yarbo through the area, or created using built-in circle and rectangle templates in the app. RTK GPS positioning ensures these zones are respected with centimeter-level precision in every mowing session.

Yarbo features PPVS (Perception-based Positioning and Velocity System), a multi-sensor fusion system that combines RTK GPS, computer vision, IMU, and odometer data. When the GPS signal is blocked — for example, under tree canopy, near walls, or under roof overhangs — PPVS uses onboard sensors to estimate position and keep the robotic lawn mower running without stopping.

Yarbo's Data Center supports Wi-Fi HaLow — a long-range, low-frequency protocol that extends coverage to approximately 200 meters (650 feet), well beyond standard Wi-Fi range. For areas outside both Wi-Fi and HaLow coverage, Yarbo can connect via 4G to maintain reliable connectivity across large properties.

The main ongoing costs are wear-and-tear consumables such as replacement blades and grease. A 4G connectivity service is available as an optional add-on, with a 1-year free trial included. NetRTK positioning, which delivers centimeter-level GPS accuracy over the internet, is free for life. There are no mandatory subscriptions required to operate your robotic lawn mower.

Robot lawn mowers generally require less upkeep than gas-powered equipment — no oil changes, no fuel, no engine servicing. Routine tasks include periodic blade checks and replacement, keeping the base station area clear of debris, and occasional software updates. Yarbo comes with a 2-year warranty with optional coverage up to 5 years.
