Yarbo Snow Blower

I purchased my Yarbo core and snowblower in late October 2025 and set it up in early November. Overall I was satisfied with the performance over the winter and would rate the machine as a 7 to 8 on a scale of 10, although there were several hiccups along the way.
• Specific delivery instructions provided to Yarbo at the time of my order were not followed. They did eventually compensate with some Yarbo points to help minimize the issues that resulted.
• The packaging and marking of parts and tools used for assembly were both very well done.
• The written assembly/setup documentation that came with the product often conflicted with the on-line information, leading to frustration, several calls to Yarbo, and wasted time.
• The core unit had a track failure in mid-January. Yarbo diagnosed the problem and sent a refurbished unit. The refurbished unit had several problems, and I reported to Yarbo that I did not believe it was properly refurbished. As with the original setup, there was a lot of wasted time getting the unit going and I had to make corrections that, had the unit truly been refurbished properly, would not have been necessary.
• The guidance on how often and how much grease to use on the tracks has been less than definitive. Different bloggers and Yarbo staff report varying answers. And, while I understand the need for this maintenance procedure, it is a pain to perform during cold winter temperatures. The need to perform this all summer long is also one of the main reasons I decided against purchasing the lawn mower attachment. In my opinion Yarbo needs to come up with a different system using a traditional grease zerk so that a grease gun can be used.
• The snowblower is powerful and definitely saved me a lot of work. I have watched a lot of the posts that seem to show people’s Yarbos blowing thru 10 to 12 inches of snow. I have not felt that my unit would do that, as at 6” it seems to be working at its limit.
• I have three comments regarding the actual clearing of the snow:
o Yarbo often tends to “push” the snow while it is blowing, so that when it comes to making it turn it leaves berms, sometimes rather large ones if the snow is deep. These either need to be manually shoveled, or I need to re-run Yarbo over the entire driveway.
o Related to the above comment, I think Yarbo can come up with a better more efficient algorithm for how the unit turns.
o I was never able to get Yarbo to effectively clear the bottom 4 feet of so of my driveway – where it meets the street at the depressed curb section. Even if I send the unit out right after the snowplow goes by, it just cannot get the snow removed. I have had to manually shovel that snow, which is a pain as it is typically deeper and heavier than the main driveway.

It’s best of the best product i have used, and excellent customer service.

Snow in April? Classic Alberta. Good thing Yarbo handles every season — even the ones that show up uninvited. Switched to snow blower mode without a hitch and cleared everything effortlessly. This modular system truly delivers year-round. Love it.

Big Mowbowski AKA the Big Towbowski is clearing the way for the Big Snowbowski and the snow!

As a two-year user, I’ve been impressed with Yarbo’s robotic yard system. The snow blower handles my 4,500 sq ft driveway effortlessly, clearing 2-3" snow with ease (though heavy wet snow can clog early season). The lawn mower maintains my 1.5-acre sloped yard perfectly, cutting twice weekly. Module swaps are straightforward, though some weigh 45-65 lbs.
Yarbo keeps improving—quick hardware replacements, frequent software updates (like remote control via app), and great support. The full package includes everything: Core unit, battery, modules, chargers, and tools. While not for extreme conditions (20" snow or overgrown fields), it’s perfect for maintenance. After two years, Yarbo saves me hours of work and keeps my property looking pristine. Highly recommended!

As a 2022 Kickstarter backer using the 2024 model, I'm extremely satisfied. The M1 mower keeps my lawn perfectly trimmed daily, eliminating grass clippings while neighbors struggle with weekly mowing and bagging. It effortlessly handled my overgrown yard last season.
Occasional "I'm stuck" alerts are easily resolved remotely via the heated cameras, allowing me to troubleshoot from work. The durable hardware keeps improving through regular software updates.
Yarbo delivers true hands-free yard care. After initial Kickstarter challenges, the 2024 version proves this system's reliability and convenience.

I’ve had Yarbo since their Kickstarter, while there have been and still occasional growing pains I can say for winter 23/24 & 24/25 plus all summer 24 I only used Yarbo for clearing my driveway and mowing my lawn.

The cut quality is just fine for my lawn, those looking for pristine lines may want to wait a bit longer, but the company is getting there. For snowblowing the machine is a beast! So much nicer to look out the window from the warmth of the house and see the driveway being cleared! Wet heavy snow just as it would with a gas snowblower can cause some issues, but playing with its settings or using the optional plow blade will help.

I just received the leaf blower attachment and as of this review only played with its settings over actually using it, but I will say it’s just as powerful as any battery operated blower.

Put the plow on last night and VIPER is plowing the driveway currently. Doing pretty good job with the plow.

Thought I’d share, we had a ton of snow overnight. I didn’t have any choice but to try running Yarbo on the full 10+ inches of snow. I ended up having him do the entire main portion of of my driveway and I opted to do the giant snow bank the city plow left myself at the end of my driveway. At probably 18+ inches I just felt it was a little too much to ask my Yarbo, “Gizmo” to do, but that’s ok because Gizmo crushed the other 90%. Granted the snow was slightly on the lighter side, still very impressive. I thought for sure he was going to get stuck and I’d just have to do everything myself, but I didn’t have to intervene once!

We has snow this morning, and the Yarbo started clearing snow RIGHT ON SCHEDULE! I didn't have to lift a finger.

It's been a weird winter for my area of Nebraska. We've only had a couple inches total all winter and so El Jefe has just been sitting. We finaly got enough snow for for me to send him out this morning. Did a great job. Ran the whole drive way with no issue and successfully auto docked for charging.

Finally some snow in Chicago. Yarbo running well. One reboot required between the 5 runs today as it lost Halow and GPS
