Every great story starts with a thoughtful gesture — and for our visit to Scott Blais, that gesture was a box of Dunkin' Donuts. Knowing Scott’s love for sweet treats, we wanted to show up not just as Yarbo team members, but as friends.
Scott welcomed us warmly, and to our surprise, he wasn’t alone. One of his close friends — a local massage business owner — had heard we were coming and waited to meet us. As it turns out, she had first learned about Yarbo through Scott himself.

Before leaving, we handed her a stack of promotional brochures to share with neighbors — hoping her story would spark new Yarbo moments across her community.

Spreading the Word — One Neighbor at a Time

Scott’s story reminded us of something powerful — that the best marketing often comes from real-life users. Scott shared that every time the DHL delivery driver stops by or when neighbors pass his house, they ask the same question: “What is that machine?”
His friend echoed the same thought — she would have never discovered Yarbo if it weren’t for Scott. This highlighted a valuable lesson for us at Yarbo: while the product speaks for itself, spreading awareness still has a long way to go.

A Sweet Reunion & A True Friend of Yarbo

This wasn’t our first visit with Scott — and that made this trip feel extra special. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, like reconnecting with an old friend.
In true Scott fashion, he surprised us with boxes of cookies and chocolates — another reminder of his thoughtful personality. He even joked about tidying up and dressing more presentably this time, saying he wanted to look his best on camera — a stark contrast to our first casual meeting.

Scott proudly gave us another tour of his “secret base” — his customized Yarbo setup that reflects both creativity and technical passion. He shared plans for future upgrades, though he admitted they would take time to bring to life.
Unfortunately, the rain kept us indoors for most of the day, but the conversations and laughter more than made up for the weather.

A Selfless Gesture That Says It All

One moment during our visit stood out the most.
When we asked Scott if he was excited to receive the 2024 Yarbo mower early, his response was genuinely heartwarming. He told us he would rather wait and let other customers — many of whom had been patiently waiting for their orders — receive theirs first.
“I already have a working machine,” he said. “Let them get theirs first. I’m in no rush.”

Of course, if we needed his help for testing or feedback, Scott was more than happy to assist — another example of his generosity and deep connection with the Yarbo community.
