Sorry, we don't need beta testers right now, but we will let you know when we need that. Our snow blower module has been in development since 2017, so after these trials in various locations and with beta testers from different countries, we've constantly improved each of Yarbo's modules.
Yarbo Inc. is registered and located in Ronkonkoma, New York.
We have updated our brand name from Snowbot to Yarbo ("Yard Robot"). As the name implies, we are expanding our goal from making a snow removal robot to a yard maintenance robot.
For business coopeartion, please contact support@yarbo.com. For investment, please email us at contact@yarbo.com for further information. Thank you!

The Yarbo series can run up to 0.4m/s, an ideal speed to balance efficiency and safety.
Yes. Yarbo employs a linear actuator to raise its head so that it can easily climb small ramps. Yarbo with a snow blower module can handle a slope of no more than 20° (36%), and that with a lawn mower module or a blower module can handle a slope of no more than 34° (68%).
With Yarbo’s wireless charging docking station, the recommended working area can be up to 2.3 acres, which means no matter if you want to mow, snow blow, or leaf/debris blow, Yarbo can take care of a yard as big as 2.3 acres.
Currently, our millimeter-wave radar can detect objects like cats and dogs; but tiny ones, such as dog poo, are still unrecognizable. Take Yarbo lawn mower M1 as an example, it can mow on top of obstacles lower than the grass, but there’s a risk that the mowing blades may bump into them and cause some damage. We are working on computer vision techniques to identify smaller objects. Please stay with us for good news to come!
Yes, Yarbo's anti-theft function relies on GPS tracking. Once Yarbo is outside its virtual boundary, the anti-theft system will be triggered and sends an alert notification on Yarbo's App. Also, the latest location of Yarbo will be updated every few minutes so that you can use the map in the App to track Yarbo and get it back. Meanwhile, both alarm sound and warning lights are activated to frighten the thieves.
You should also know that Yarbo can only be activated after being bound with an owner's app account. That means without an owner's smartphone or joystick, no one can start the auger or even drive Yarbo.
Both Yarbo and the base need to receive signals from satellites and Yarbo need to be connected to the base all the time. If the signal goes weak or lost, Yarbo will stop to wait for it to be recovered. So, the RTK base should be installed on a spot with open air — the roof is the best option. Yarbo does NOT need to rest inside the garage even when it's not working — it should be placed outdoors, and there should not be large obstacles between Yarbo and the base.
Rest assured of those concerns that Yarbo cannot withstand such extreme conditions as its docking station makes use of True Wireless Charging Technology, which means no chance of an electric short and no risk of electrical contacts corroding over time. Just like Yarbo, the docking station is designed like a tank that is able to withstand all-season weather.
In our latest development, we have made use of 4G to connect Yarbo and RTK base, so the coverage of any yard will not have a problem.
If you need the API to be connected to IoT appliances, currently we don't open access for individual users, but we are working on this. Just stay tuned!
Yarbo App has different modes for different modules, including mowing, snow blowing, and leaves/debris blowing, each of which will have a separate working plan and map. It can handle multiple zones in a single work plan. All you need to do is choose different zones and plan necessary connection paths between those zones.Steps are as follows:
First, you need to take Yarbo for a yard tour to set up the virtual boundary; then, You can add multiple working zones, no-go zones, and connection paths in the same way.
You can control Yarbo either through the mobile App or the controller. Thanks to the wide-coverage wireless network, you can control the machine and check its status anywhere inside your house through App.
(1). Ternary lithium battery.
(2). The capacity is 1382Wh (36V*38.4Ah).
(3). It takes about 2 hours for a full charge of Yarbo. Charging time can be affected by the environment temperature, which will be particularly obvious on Yarbo Snow Blower S1.
The operating time varies a lot, since snow blowing is a more challenging task than lawn mowing. Powered by a fully-charged battery, Yarbo Snow Blower S1 can run for 90 minutes when handling a snow depth of 5 inches (this figure varies when handling different types of snow and the amount of snowfall), while Yarbo lawn mower M1 can run for 120 minutes.
It depends on the frequency that you use Yarbo. Yarbo's battery can run up to 1000 cycles of charging and discharging. That means it will be fully functional within three years even if Yarbo goes to work every day.
Auto recharging is one of Yarbo’s intelligent features. It returns to the docking station automatically when the battery is low and gets back to work after fully recharging. Thanks to our intelligent algorithm, Yarbo knows the travel distance between where it lays and where the docking station is, so it will do a calculation to ensure the battery will not die before it returns to the docking station. And Yarbo also knows where it stopped working and will return to exactly the same spot to resume the work.
Both Yarbo's wireless charging docking station and wired power supply can handle AC power outlets for 120V and 220V.
Each Yarbo is designed to be able to add a tow hitch at its tail to work with a trailer, which expands the capability of Yarbo. You can use it to tow your yard tools like lawn mower sweeper, lawn roller, dump cart, dethatcher, lawn aerator attachment, etc. With strong traction provided by both the high-torque motor and rubber tracks, Yarbo can even tow a sedan or even a boat weighing up to 5000 lbs.
We are committed to creating an all-in-one robot. Except for the three modules already launched, many more modules are in our schedule, including but not limited to the Sweeper, Plow, Robot Arm, Sprinkler, and the module for picking up trash. Regarding security surveillance, the Yarbo Guard Module is equipped with a 360° camera with AI technique to identify intruders. We have made a video to show what other modules are and how they work combined with Yarbo's main body: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZs3lW25uqk. In this video, you can learn about all the various modules.
The Yarbo to be released this year requires manual work to switch different add-ons, but our engineers have designed an easy way to switch modules. In the near future, the Yarbo series will welcome a powerful member called Superdocking, with which Yarbo can automatically switch different modules, 100% hands-free! Please stay tuned to our website.
Yes. Our products already have the certification for ROHS, and using electricity as the energy for them is more environmentally friendly than traditional gasoline products.
At present, the Yarbo series is mainly designed for residential use. Robots for commercial use are in the timeline of our future plan.
Yarbo can be operated on various road surfaces, including Masonry/Cement/Asphalt/Large Gravel/Smooth & Rough Tiles Pavement. For safety concerns, we don't recommend you to use Yarbo S1 on gravel driveways, or please remove loose stones and debris in the areas in which your Yarbo Snow Blower S1/Lawn Mower M1 usually works before you run them.
Thanks to PPVS (Precise Positioning Vision System) and obstacle avoidance system, Yarbo doesn’t need much light to "see" so it’s fully functional in the darkness. But we do equip Yarbo with two front lights so that users can see the surroundings under remote control mode and warn passers-by that Yarbo is working.
In our latest work, we have deployed a 4G network to transmit data between the RTK base and Yarbo to ensure a stable signal connection. In extreme cases, you can buy an extra Yarbo battery and a power station case to power the RTK base, so that Yarbo can function well even when the electricity goes out. If you meet an off-grid condition, you can still make Yarbo work by using the remote controller, which doesn’t rely on Internet!
The shell of Yarbo is made of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene plastics and the auger/impeller/blades is made of stainless steel, both of which are highly reliable in rough outdoor conditions.
Firstly, unlike traditional outdoor power equipment, Yarbo is low-maintenance. If you can keep the working area rid of debris, wires, stone, and other obstacles, Yarbo can work perfectly for quite a long time even without maintenance. Also, we offer a limited guarantee for two years.
Yarbo is an IoT device, and of course, it's connected to the cloud. Rest assured of the connection stability as we choose the world-class Amazon Web Services as our cloud service provider.
Yarbo's snowblower module has actually been in development since 2017! It's gone through thousands of tests and has actually been tested by 80 beta testers this past winter across the United States, Canada, and Europe.

Frequently Asked Questions
Module 2: Yarbo Lawn Mower M1

Yarbo Snow Blower S1 weighs around 143 lbs, a perfect balance to produce enough traction and flexibility. It weighs slightly more than usual residential service robots to ensure performance on heavy snow.
The rated "horsepower" of the snowblower attachment is 2500W - 4000W, varying according to the type and thickness of snow. It is better than a majority of traditional handheld/walk-behind snow blowers.
The auger of Yarbo Snow Blower S1 is made out of metal. It is more durable and efficient and can handle multiple kinds of snow.
Yarbo Snow blower S1 can handle 5 inches 2153 ft² snow for one full charge. Combined with Yarbo docking station, the recommended snow blowing area can expand to 2.3 acres.
The operating temperature of Yarbo Snow Blower S1 is -20℉~104℉ (-30℃~40℃). So we don’t recommend you to store Yarbo outdoors with an environment temperature of below -30℃. We have heard the voice to operate Yarbo at a more chilling temperature and are working on it. Just stay tuned for our latest product news to come!
We have equipped Yarbo with spikes to ensure its traction on icy surfaces, and its rubber tracks are specially designed to conquer uneven terrain.
Typical snow types, including wet and dry snow, is within Yarbo’s capacity. Based on thousands of tests Yarbo received from different kinds of snow, the well-designed two-stage blower minimizes the chance of clogging. If it really happens, Yarbo will send an alert on the Yarbo app to inform users. Please stay with us to learn more about this!
The Yarbo series with a snow blower module can easily handle the ice issue, whether mixed with snow or under snow. It is equipped with spikes to ensure its traction on ice beneath the snow.
You can adjust the snow-throwing direction to anywhere you want through the Yarbo app or controller. The app allows you to preset and store the designated throwing directions. The discharge chute of Yarbo S1 can rotate up to 180° horizontally and 45° vertically, hence the snow-throwing direction is fully controllable. We suggest you disperse the snow pile so there will be no worry of too much accumulation.
When a heavy snowstorm comes, the accuracy of snow blowing might not be that precise, but it keeps within an acceptable range. Yarbo has full access to your local weather forecast service, and we are working on auto-adjust the throwing direction to fit the wind direction.
Users can set the chute direction to avoid any possible hazards in advance, and Yarbo S1 will blow the snow accordingly. For living objects that show up unexpectedly, Yarbo makes remarkable signs when working, both visually with a warning light and acoustically with an alarm sound, to expel people from getting close.
Please be aware that shooting a mixture of ice and snow out of the chute can be quite dangerous. For safety concerns, we don’t suggest that Yarbo works in autonomous mode in an area with a chance of unexpected passers-by. In this case, we highly recommend you complete the task by manual control. With our remote controller and high-resolution camera on Yarbo, you can get real-time surveillance and control the Yarbo while staying in your cozy house.
END OF DRIVEWAY issue has stayed on top of our challenges to develop a fully functional snow blower robot since 2017. Finally, we deployed four features to finish such hard jobs:
1. Powerful two-stage structure, which has an auger to collect the snow and an impeller to shoot the snow out of the chute.
2. Mighty traction provided by both rubber tracks and high-torque motor, which can even drag a sedan or boat.
3. Unique power articulating front auger, which can be raised to tackle more snow beyond 12 inches of intake capability.
4. Intelligent strategy to either Yarbo climbs up the snow pile then clear the snow from the top down layer by layer when the pile is over 24 inches, or Yarbo takes a flank attack by moving alongside the snow pile instead of crushing the snow pile head-on when the pile is less than 24 inches.
With the four features combined, 12 inches of wet and icy chunks at the end of the driveway should not be a problem at all!
Yarbo is an IoT device with full access to your local weather forecast service, so it knows when the snow starts and ends. You can also set a schedule for Yarbo to let it work right after a routine public snow plowing service. In the long run, we are developing a mix of sensors to detect the depth of snow, so that it can know precisely the right time to start working.
Yarbo Snow blower S1 is equipped with powerful brushless motors. It has 21 inches of intake width and 12 inches of intake height; therefore, it can effortlessly handle 1 ft of snow (wet or otherwise).
Moreover, with the wireless docking station, Yarbo can work from the first snowflake until the last (charging as it needs to), so there will never be snow accumulation. With the Yarbo docking station, it can work 24/7/365 to keep your driveway or any designated area free of snow all the time. Users can use the mobile app to control and set cleaning plans anytime and from anywhere.
When Yarbo Snow Blower S1 is charging or has no cleaning schedule, it will rest on the docking station, so there will be no snow covering on it. If Yarbo S1 goes out to work on schedule, some snow may fall on the docking station, but it can clean the snow with its powerful front auger.
Don't need to worry. All those exposed sensors, including the RTK antenna for navigation, high-resolution camera, and millimeter-wave radars for obstacle avoidance, are carefully designed not to be buried in the snow. They can withstand a slight snow cover.
Yarbo Snow Blower S1 adopts a specially designed snow blower structure with the help of fluid simulation to optimize the flow of snow and uses high-torque brushless motors to minimize the chance of clogging by wet snow. We are about to release a video showing the actual performance of Yarbo tackling wet snow. Just stay tuned!
We have made a tremendous change from Snowbot S1 last year to the latest Yarbo S1, one of which is the mighty traction provided by a combination of rubber tracks, the high-torque motor and increased body weight, which can even drag a sedan or boat! We also deployed a powerful two-stage design with an auger to collect the snow, an impeller to shoot the snow out of the chute, and unique power articulating front auger that can be raised to tackle more snow beyond 12 inches of intake capability.
Besides, we have adopted the world-class Precise Positioning Vision System that integrates RTK-GPS, computer vision and a myriad of other sensors. The result is a much more efficient way of working.

The Yarbo series with mower module is powered by our Precise Positioning Vision System which integrates RTK-GPS, computer vision and a myriad of other sensors, enabling Yarbo to mow in logical line patterns without physical boundaries. The result is a much more efficient mowing way than most robotic lawn mowers.
Thanks to its unique rubber tracks, Yarbo Lawn Mower M1 can do a zero-turn to cut the last few inches of grass on the edges and around the corner.
The rubber tracks are carefully designed to keep a minimum tread required to drive Yarbo without harming the lawn. Also, tracks provide a larger contact area than tires, which can distribute and reduce the pressure pressed on the lawn and help to maintain a healthy turf. Thanks to our Precise Positioning Vision System (PPVS) and intelligent route planning algorithm, Yarbo can automatically change the mowing direction after finishing a mowing schedule and make an unrepeated mowing path.At last, we also realized that in case of unhealthy turf, zero-turn might leave remarkable tracks on the grass, so we have deployed a 3-point turn strategy to minimize the tracks.
Sure! You can set the working schedule whenever you like on Yarbo's app. Usually, if it runs automatically, Yarbo will not start to mow until 6 hours after the rain; moreover, you can set a longer gap if the turf is not healthy enough.
You don’t have to worry about picking-up issues because Yarbo Lawn Mower M1 is a typical robotic lawn mower that only cuts a few millimeters each time, but it will work until it reaches your preset height. The grass clippings will quickly decompose into your lawn’s soil and are great fertilizer.
The Yarbo series with the lawn mower module is IPX6 water resistant, so you can easily clean the blades and tracks with sprinklers. The blades are also changeable to keep the cutting efficiency. They can be replaced by following steps:
① Turn off the lawn mower.
② Place the mower on a soft, clean surface in an upside-down position. (We are working on a new structure for an easy replacement that will be released in the coming months.)
③ Use a cross-tip screwdriver to loosen the three screws.
④ Remove the screws and blades.
⑤ Fasten the new blades and screws. Make sure the blades can pivot freely.
Yarbo can mow grass up to 4 inches high, surpassing most market competitors. Like most robotic lawn mowers, for those grass that is taller than its capacity, we suggest users cut those grass taller than Yarbo M1's capacity manually as preparation for Yarbo. Then Yarbo can work day and light but only cuts a few millimeters each time thanks to its True Wireless Charging docking station.
Yarbo Lawn Mower M1 is designed to cut ordinary turf in residential scenarios. However, it is capable of switching modules, and a more powerful lawn mower module to handle those grass that is too high or too thick is already in our pipeline. Just stay tuned for our latest product news to come!

Frequently Asked Questions
Module 3: Yarbo Blower B1

424 CFM might not seem like a lot, but this is a robot in essence. Because it's a robot, it doesn't need to clear or blow leaves in the traditional sense, the same with any robotic lawn mower. In general, the premise behind autonomous robots is that they're maintainers. They don't wait for the leaves to pile up, or the grass to become unmanageable; instead, they're constantly working. Yarbo Blower B1 will become more powerful when it ships, but now we want to balance noise and power.
Yarbo Blower B1 works similarly to Yarbo Snow Blower S1 that users can draw a line to collect leaves or debris. The Yarbo app allows you to preset and store the designated plow area or the leaves collection line.
Yarbo Blower B1 is a perfect choice to clean pine cones and similar small objects in your garden, which can even blow up pebbles!
