At Yarbo, we believe our users are the heart of our journey — and few demonstrate that better than Scott Grams. As part of the Yarbo Friends Tour, we had the pleasure of visiting Scott in Minnesota to prepare for an exciting onsite demo scheduled for the following day. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this stop would be filled with innovation, creativity, and connection.
Setting the Stage: A Day of Preparation
Arriving a day early, we hit the ground running to set up the event space and test all the demo equipment. This included a complete software and hardware inspection, with special focus on two highly anticipated features: Follow Me Mode and music playback — both being showcased live for the very first time.

Our goal? To ensure everything worked perfectly for the big day. And thanks to some serious behind-the-scenes effort, it did.
Scott’s First "Follow Me Mode" Experience: Pure Joy
Watching Scott try the Follow Me Mode for the first time was like seeing a kid unwrap a new toy. He immediately took to it, joyfully walking Yarbo around the yard like a loyal companion — a moment that quickly turned into a neighborhood event. Scott invited nearby kids to join the fun, letting them “walk” Yarbo themselves. Laughter, curiosity, and wonder filled the air. It was the kind of moment that reminds us why we do what we do.

He also took the music playback feature for a spin. After a few attempts at setup, the music finally played — and Scott’s excitement was contagious. He began thinking about what tracks would best complement tomorrow’s demo, showing just how much he cared about making the event memorable for everyone.
A Personal Touch: Creativity on Display
Scott’s creativity didn’t stop with features — he took it upon himself to modify Yarbo’s flag setup using his own tools.

He proudly mounted it beneath the U.S. flag, giving the demo setup a bold, eye-catching look. This small touch made a big impact, turning a technical showcase into a display of personal pride and ingenuity.
New Fans and Bright Ideas
While we were fine-tuning the setup, two young neighbors stopped by — drawn in by Yarbo in action. As it turns out, they were no strangers to snow removal, working with commercial plow equipment themselves. One even mentioned designing a rolling brush snowplow back in elementary school!

Naturally, they were thrilled to learn about Yarbo’s modular design and asked about the future of a brush module. It’s safe to say, we’ve got some exciting ideas brewing for upcoming releases.

Even more interesting, they mentioned that Toro had acquired a company focused on commercial snow removal robots in 2022 — an insight that gave us some valuable food for thought regarding Yarbo’s future in the industry.
An Upgrade Request and an Ongoing Relationship
Scott also shared his interest in upgrading from the 2023 to the 2024 model. While he was more than willing to pay the difference, he hoped for a discount due to some previous after-sales issues. This honest feedback is exactly what helps us improve — and we’re discussing ways to find a fair solution that reflects our appreciation for loyal users like Scott.

More Than a Demo — A Celebration of Connection
What made this Yarbo Friends Tour stop truly special wasn’t just the tech — it was the people. From Scott’s infectious enthusiasm and creative flair to the unexpected community connections and shared excitement for the future, it felt less like a product demo and more like a celebration.

As we look forward to the next stop on our journey, we carry with us the joy, laughter, and inspiration from Scott’s yard in Minnesota. This is what Yarbo is all about — not just innovation, but connection.
Stay tuned for more Yarbo Moments as we continue our tour, sharing stories, smiles, and smart solutions across the country.
